My Goal is $40,000
I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in September, 2014. It came as a heavy blow to myself, my wife and three children, ages 18, 15 and 13. Ironically a friend runs a pancreatic cancer fundraising organization, The Granara-Skerry Trust, and two weeks later our team, Sully’s Battalion walked 120 strong in their annual walkathon. Our goal for next year is 250 walkers! I have been fortunate. My brother firefighters have raised thousands of dollars in support of myself and family. I feel a great need to pay it forward. As a result, we have started our own organization, Sully’s Battalion. We raise money for Massachusetts General Hospital’s pancreatic cancer research through t-shirt sales and other fundraising events. I am doing very well in my treatments at Mass General. I am blessed to be surrounded by countless friends and family who keep me strong and positive. I WILL beat this disease.
