My late Aunt Kathy, the founder of the Granara-Skerry Trust for Pancreatic Cancer Research at Mass General Hospital, always has been and always will be one of the most inspirational people in my life.
In 1992, she started a club with her 5 youngest nieces, Nicole, Kristen 🙂 , Elise, Debbie and Chelsea. The Butterfly Club became and still is the strongest bond in my life. Aunty Kathy taught us that family comes first and you always love, take care of and fight for them no matter what. Thanks to the Butterfly Club, these girls are my best friends.
Aunty Kathy was the most loving, supportive, caring, determined woman I’ve ever met. Even through her 3.5 year roller coaster battle with Pancreatic Cancer, she never lost hope. Her love and passion for others took to new heights when she started the GST 5K and we can only hope to continue this fight in her memory.
The support from our family, friends and even strangers has been absolutely incredible over the last 10 years. By the end of 2016, we will have hosted 2 Galas, 3 “Proms”, 5 Pub Crawls, 10 5Ks and raised over *1 MILLION DOLLARS* for Pancreatic Cancer Research. We are forever grateful for every cent donated, every minute spent, every laugh shared and every wink of sleep lost. We could not reach this INCREDIBLE milestone without each and every one of you.
This year is going to be an emotional, powerful and joyous day as we realize our *1 million dollar* goal.
Please consider donating any amount to my page to help us crush our goal and keep Aunty Kathy’s goal alive.
Thank you all for your unwaivering support!
