Last Year I Raised $3,125.00
I am writing to you on behalf of the Granara-Skerry Trust, a foundation created to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer Research at MGH by Kathleen Granara-Skerry, who passed away in April 2009, after her brave battle with Pancreatic Cancer, the fourth leading cause of cancer death for both men and women.
Kathy was an inspiration to all of us! The Granara-Skerry Trust has donated $989,000 to pancreatic cancer research to date and we hope to announce Kathy’s One Million Dollar goal that she had hoped to raise on the 24th prior to the walk.
The Trust has no employees, only volunteers, and no administrative costs; every dollar raised is donated to Kathy’s Dr. Andrew Zhu and the Cancer Center at MGH to further the much needed funds for research into its cause and detection. They are making strides! Every year it seems like someone we know and love has been diagnosed with this terrible disease. Will you help us in this fight and/or join us on Saturday the 24th of September?
We realize that the demands upon your charitable goodwill are many; we would be most appreciative of any level of support that you may be able to provide.
Thank you for your kind consideration and support.
All my best to you and yours,
